Sesame Delight & Jade Garden Smoothie
Only my second time at
The Loving Hut, I really wish I’d spend more time here because the menu is pretty extensive with a
creative amount of options ranging from full meals to sandwiches and wraps. They definitely don’t skimp on portions so you leave feeling completely satiated. This time around I tried the Sesame Delight that included vegan soy replacing what would normally be beef, perfectly steamed (super crisp) broccoli that flavorfully complimented the sauce with flecks of cilantro throughout. I also had the Jade Garden smoothie which was comprised of Kale, carrot, banana, apple, ginger, avocado and soy milk — completely delicious and not overly sweet like you’d come to expect from Smoothie King or Extreme Juice.
My friend ordered the Pad Thai with both tofu and additional soy protein with the standard accompaniments like sprouts, carrot, cabbage, onion, pepper, peanuts and rice noodles. Both her and I were tempted by the spicy Sambal Eggplant but promised to try it next time upon our return.

Inside Loving Hut – Tampa
While it looks like a ‘dive’ from the outside (off of Fletcher near USF campus), the atmosphere inside is completely calming and relaxed. Even though The Loving Hut is a chain, it’s family-owned and operated with over 100 locations internationally. We’re happy to have this vegan gem so close to home and glad to see them attend local food truck events throughout the year. Usually halfway through the event, their food truck sells out quick – that’s a good sign 🙂
